Dr. George Jaquiss

Dr. G. M. Jaquiss was born in Aug.5, 1876 in Page County. He came to Edmond, Norton County in December of 1907. Dr. Jaquiss was married, July 16, 1902 to Sadie Gillispie, who was born in Page County, Iowa.  They had four children and are members of the Christian Church. He is a graduate of the Norton County High School class of 1896; a graduate of Amity College in 1900 where he received the degree of bachelor of arts.  He is also a doctor of osteopathy, having graduated from the Still College of Des Moines and studied for some time at the Electric Medical University. The doctor practiced in Kansas City before coming to Edmond.—Norton County News, Historical 1870-1916

The 1915 KS. Census gives the children names as: Winifred 11, Georgia 10, Millard 7 and Charles 4.

From Edmond New Leaf—Dr. Jaquiss has improved convenience and appearance of the drug store by removing the stairs and placing on outside of building.

In 1921, Dr Jaquiss bought the Cottage Sanitarium at Lindsborg.

Off internet-George Milton Jaquiss died August 6, 1972 at Kansas City, Missouri, and buried Mt. Mariah Cemetery.
Sadie Ellen Gillispie Jaquiss was born January 7, 1873 at Cameron, Ill. She died January 29, 1972 at Kansas City Missouri. Her father was Adam Gillispie and mother was Adaline Seward Gillispie.
