C. G. Breathouwer was born in 1876 at Firth. Nebraska. In 1894, graduated at the Lincoln High School, and later attended the Nebraska State University, after which he taught one term of school near Firth. In 1897 he took up his studies at the Lincoln Medical College, attended four years and graduated in March 1901, and since then has been engaged in active practice in Lenora, and owing to his success in practice the doctor has made may warm friends. Dr. Brethouwer and Miss Kittie M. Fisher of Kirwin were married June 3rd, 1902. Miss Fisher was a teacher in Phillips and Norton counties. They will by at home after July 1st.
2/5/1903- Dr. Drown’s widow sold some of Doctor’s things to Dr. C G Breathouwer
4/30/1903- Dr. Richmond was up from Logan to consult with Dr. Breathouwer.
4/1/1904- Mrs. Brethouwer has been asked to contribute some of her paintings to the Kansas exhibits at the St. Louis World Fair. She sent seven.
9/8/1904- Dr. Gunston of Edmond, will take care of Dr. Brethouwer’s practice during his absence. Dr. Gunston moved his family up.
9/15-/1904- Dr. Brethouwer made his departure for Chicago last Saturday, stopping over in Kirwin a few days
10/6/1904- A recent letter from Dr. Brethouwer states he has commenced a 9 month term of school at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Chicago.
6/15/1905- Dr. C. G. Brethouwer returned Tuesday from Chicago, where he had been taking a post graduate course in medicine and surgery, He now has the latest methods.
7/6/1905- Dr. Brethouwer and Dr. W. C. Lathrop opened office in Norton in the W H Marsh building. Dr. Lathrop had moved from Edmond to Lenora in June 1905. They were together until sometime in January 1906
5/27/1909- The Doctor left Tuesday for a trip through the west expecting to be gone several weeks, Mrs. Brethouwer and babies are visiting her parents in Kirwin.
7/22/1909-Dr. Brethouwer traded 240 acres of farm land to a party at Montrose, Colorado.
9/16/1909- The doctor made a business trip to Denver.
10/7/1909- Dr. Brethouwer made a trip to Lincoln, Nebraska. He had family there.
*Could not find when they left Norton for sure, but they did sell more land in Dec. 1909 and their residence was County of Montrose, state of Colorado.
11/9/1909-Dr. Koory rented the office once occupied by Dr. Brethouwer.
